We’re looking for students to join the Missouri S&T Mentor Collective, a program that connects current students with incoming freshmen to offer support and guidance.
Here’s how it works:
Mentor Collective matches incoming students with experienced, peer mentors who understand what it means to be a Miner. Mentors provide guidance on:
Navigating campus life
Time management and study skills
Getting involved and building community
Balancing academics, health, and wellbeing
Whether you’re looking for advice, encouragement, or just someone who’s been there, your mentor is here to help you thrive during your first year at S&T.
Become a mentor through Missouri S&T’s Mentor Collective programs. You’ll be matched with a student who’s just starting out!
Why Mentor?
Make a Difference: Help fellow students feel supported, connected and confident.
Build Leadership Skills: Strengthen your communication, empathy, and problem-solving. These are skills that employers love.
Give Back: Your insight can make the college experience smoother for someone else.
Your next step is right around the corner. The Gear Up Career Mentoring Program, is launching in October 2025 and, connects juniors and seniors with S&T alumni who’ve walked a similar path and are now thriving in their careers. These one-on-one mentorships are designed to help you:

Learn from real-world experiences
Prepare for the transition from college to career
Gear Up gives you the opportunity to learn from someone who’s been where you are and is ready to help you get where you want to go.
