Mentor Collective

We’re looking for students to join the Missouri S&T Mentor Collective, a program that connects current students with incoming freshmen to offer support and guidance.

Here’s how it works:

  • You choose how to connect – through text, email, video call or in person.
  • Check in monthly through May (or longer if you’d like).

Find your mentor.

Mentor Collective matches incoming students with experienced, peer mentors who understand what it means to be a Miner. Mentors provide guidance on:

  • Navigating campus life

  • Time management and study skills

  • Getting involved and building community

  • Balancing academics, health, and wellbeing

Whether you’re looking for advice, encouragement, or just someone who’s been there, your mentor is here to help you thrive during your first year at S&T.

Be a mentor.

Become a mentor through Missouri S&T’s Mentor Collective programs. You’ll be matched with a student who’s just starting out!

Why Mentor?

  • Make a Difference: Help fellow students feel supported, connected and confident.

  • Build Leadership Skills: Strengthen your communication, empathy, and problem-solving. These are skills that employers love.

  • Give Back: Your insight can make the college experience smoother for someone else.
